Religion

The Dominican Republic's Constitution provides for freedom of religious belief and religion. The most professed religion is Roman Catholic and represents about 95% of the Dominican population.

Other religions practiced with less presence are Protestant, Christian Evangellos (Assembly of God, Church of God, Baptists and Pentecostals), 7th day Adventists, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, among others.

The country generally knows to understand the people who have other religious beliefs other than Catholicism. The Dominican citizen can respect what other citizens think and consider their beliefs.
