Las Terrenas

Las Terrenas is a town with a bohemian atmosphere that illustrates his nights to any European city, especially the large colony of French and Italian nationals living in this charming village.
Its virgin beaches mostly allow the visitor to disconnect from everyday life and relax among beautiful beaches and amazing wildflower vegetation. The tiny fishing village of Santa Barbara de Samana, founded in 1756, has been transformed into a purely tourist town, but without losing their primitive air. What to do in Las Terrenas?
Golf: You can practice in Las Terrenas Country Golf Club, a golf course with 18 holes designed by Andy Dye Designs signature. It was built amid stunning waterfalls and eleven lakes that are interconnected; the field pleases the sight and the mind, offering magnificent scenery and a challenging level of play.
Scuba Diving & Snorkeling: The beaches of the east are magnificent to explore the underwater life, full of coral reefs, amazing rock formations and shipwrecks. Las Terrenas and El Portillo have very good choices for the scuba diving like Cayo Las Bellenas, Las Torres and Punta Tibisi. Some hotels also offer classes for beginners and sail around its outskirts.
Four Wheels or Jeeps Excursions: In this type of excursions, visitors are escorted with a multilingual guide around incredible landscapes as rivers, streams, valleys, mountains and culture of eastern Dominican Republic. Playa Bonita (Bonita Beach): In Las Terrenas you can find one of the most beautiful beaches in the Samana peninsula. The beach is about 4 miles around the village of Las Terrenas and 48 kilometers of Samana and consists with 4 miles of white sand beach and wild waters, ideal for various water activities like diving, snorkeling and windsurfing. Its boundaries are marked by Punta Bonita to the west and east of Loma Bonita.
Playa Coson (Coson Beach): It is one of the Blue Flag certified beaches in the world, certification granted to beaches that meet certain requirements such as quality of bathing water, information, security, among others. The quality and consistency of its waves make the beach a Premium place for surfing. There are 6 miles of spectacular beach and is located 10 miles from Las Terrenas.
Playa Coson can have different styles of accommodation, from all inclusive to small cabins for rent, Town Houses, apartment and rental houses. There are several tour operators that offer trips to this beach town and specifically Coson by the wonderful landscape that owns this beach.
Portillo: lies between El Limon and Las Terrenas, is a beautiful sandy beach and crystal clear water that collects all the charms of nature.

The nightlife in Las Terrenas is very active and varied; there you can enjoy open-air bars, discos and a variety of restaurants.
