San Pedro de Macoris is located in the east area of the country 65 kilometers from the city of Santo Domingo. The province limits to the north with Hato Mayor and El Seibo, east to La Romana, on the south by the Caribbean Sea and west by the provinces of Santo Domingo and Monte Plata.

By air: Through Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) in Santo Domingo.

Attractions:
Cathedral St. Peter the Apostle:
It is a beautiful cathedral built in the nineteenth century and has been rebuilt several times because of hurricanes that have passed through the area. The architect responsible for the work was Antonin Nechodoma, who chose a neo-Gothic and exterior style of the building, and a Romanesque style to the eclectic interior architecture medieval achieving. It’s a choice for lovers of photography.
Malecón San Pedro Macoris:
The famous Malecon is on the street route runs along the Caribbean Sea where you will find numerous cafes, bars, restaurants and street vendors. The beach around is not permissible to bathe, but to feel the Caribbean breeze walking or sitting. The Malecon is the place frequented by tourists and locals during the weekend.
Juan Dolio:
Juan Dolio is located 40 kilometers from the city of Santo Domingo and 20 kilometers from Las Americas International Airport (SDQ). Juan Dolio has access for tourists who want enjoy the 'All Inclusive' resorts or also the public area where visitors spend the day.
The beach is very quiet with white sands and the waves can sometimes be a bit strong according to the weather. It is one of the most visited beaches by people living in the city of Santo Domingo is just 25 minutes away. In the area of Juan Dolio is a boulevard where you can find bars, cafes and restaurants. Guayacanes:

It is another public beach access and much visited by residents of Santo Domingo and San Pedro de Macoris. The Cave of Wonders is located in the ‘Autovia del Este’ Highway between San Pedro de Macoris and the town of La Romana called Cumayasa. It was opened to public in 2003 and presents several findings of aboriginal Taino time. When visiting the cave, you must do a tour with a guide and inside the cave is not permitted to take photographs. The Caves are open during business hours Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 to 6:00 pm
Golf:
San Pedro de Macoris has several golf courses available for those who love this sport and are also near the city of Santo Domingo. The golf courses of 18 holes are: Los Marlins Golf Course designed by Charles Ankrom, and Guavaberry Golf Course designed by Gary Player.
