Location:
Bonao borders to the north with the province of La Vega, east of the province Sanchez Ramirez, on the south by the Municipality Piedra Blanca and west by the town of Constanza. It has a surface area of 1,380 square kilometers.

Bonao Carnival:
It is the most important festival in this town, being one of the most fascinating and organized of the country. Its most striking character is the "Macarao" which has an animal face and is the figure that each year people expect to seemarching through the streets. The Carnival of Bonao is celebrated starting from the last Sunday of January until the first week of March.
Candido Bido Museum of Art:
The Candido Bido Museum of Art is private museum whose mission is the exhibition of fine arts and folklore. This includes a permanent exhibition of old masters Dominicans, among which are the very Candido Bido, Guillo Perez, Elsa Nunez, Alonso Cuevas, among others. Plaza de la Cultura:
Plaza de la Cultura (Culture Plaza) was founded by Candido Bido and its construction began in 1987 which also houses his museum. Is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of helping youth’s vocation of being an artist with the brush, piano, theater, guitar, and ballet.
At the first level you can appreciate artistic expression in three dimensions in honor of Cupid. At the second level there are four exhibition halls. The Plaza is also located the Art Center, which is a school where students can study piano, drama, painting and ballet. On Saturday classes are taught to children in the children's workshop.
El Monte Maria (Mount Mary):
Mount Mary is a great natural beauty spot that has become a place of pilgrimage for devotees of the Virgin Mary since her image supposedly appeared to residents of this community, which was endorsed by the priest Ramon Abreu who served there in 1986.
Marian worship center has become a tourist attraction because of its potential for ecotourism and sports activities and is located in the San Isidro section of the Municipal District Bejucal Juma, Bonao.
