Passports

All visitors must have a valid passport to enter the Dominican Republic. Please make sure before you travel to check with your nearest Consulate or Embassy if your country of citizenship require a visa to enter the Dominican Republic.

All non-residents of the Dominican Republic should have a round trip ticket or some type of proof they will be departing the Dominican Republic after their intended stay.

Visas

Visitors that don’t require a prior visa before entry must buy a Tourist Card at the moment of arrival to your port of entry in the Dominican Republic. Please check with your travel agency or nearest Embassy or consulate if your country requires a visa prior your arrival.

The Tourist Card is a required document for residents of authorized countries to enter the Dominican Republic exclusively for tourist purposes. It can be obtained at the Dominican Consulates or directly upon arrival at the airports in the Dominican Republic. The cost is $10 U.S. dollars and is valid for 30 days.
